MINIATURE SILVER KOVSH WITH CLOISONNÉ ENAMEL. FABERGÉ, WORKSHOP OF FEDOR RÜCKERT MOSCOW, 1908 - 1917 - An exquisite miniature silver kovsh created in the Moscow workshop of Fedor Rückert for the firm of Karl Fabergé, representing a rare example of small-scale jewel-like silver from the Late Russian Art Nouveau period. The compact rounded bowl with softly profiled sides is complemented by a characteristic peltate-form handle decorated with vivid polychrome cloisonné enamel. The ornamental scheme is structured around alternating geometric motifs: red enamel lozenges and cobalt-blue oval medallions enclosed within fine wire partitions. The pale turquoise ground displays a subtle granular texture enhancing the depth and brilliance of the enamel surface. The interior is fully gilded, creating a refined contrast with the cool sheen of silver and intensifying the decorative presence. Such works, produced through the collaboration between Fabergé and Rückert, were distinguished by exceptional technical precision and rich chromatic expression. Marks: Maker’s initials “F.R.” in Latin letters; firm’s mark “K. Fabergé” beneath the Imperial double-headed eagle - warrant of appointment to the Imperial Court; Moscow Assay Office mark, 1908 - 1917; standard “88”.
