Penina Amir Zamir, a rare and beautiful plate of figurative design - A wheel-thrown plate designed and executed by the ceramic artist Penina Amir Zamir. The plate is exceptionally substantial in weight, and its decorative motif of a male face appears to draw upon African art or perhaps the work of Picasso. An uncommon piece and a significant addition to any collection of Israeli ceramics. The plate bears a minor chip which appears to have been professionally restored many years ago, as visible in the fourth photograph.
