Rare 17th/18th Century Italian Silver-Gilt Amulet - Rare 17th/18th Century Italian Silver-Gilt Amulet An extremely rare Italian amulet, crafted between the late 17th and early 18th centuries. The piece is made of repoussé and chased (embossed) silver, featuring the central inscription ”Shaddai” (שדי). The amulet is gilded using an ancient fire-gilding (mercury gilding) technique that was practiced until the 19th century. This is a rare and important item of museum-grade quality.
