A pin of the society of the Chief Rabbi of Constantine, French Algeria, Sidi Fredj Halimi - North Africa / Judaica: An extremely rare silver-plated metal (or silver) and enamel lapel pin associated with the society of Rabbi Sidi Fredj Halimi (1876–1957), Chief Rabbi of Constantine, French Algeria. Designed in the form of a heraldic shield with a blue enamel border inscribed in Hebrew: ”Society of the Chief Rabbi Sidi Fredj Halimi, ZI'A”. The center features an open Torah scroll with four yellow lightning bolts above it, bearing the Biblical verse ”I shall not die, but live” (Psalms 118:17). Manufactured in France by the renowned maker Drago Paris (first half of the 20th century). Dimensions: 3 x 2.2 cm.
