An antique book set titled Ouvres de Delille, Works of Delille, that comprises original literary works by Jacques Delille, 1738-1813, a French poet who became famous for his translations of ancient Greek and Latin poetry. The set consists of seven volumes, published in 1804-1806 in Paris by Giguet et Michaud. The collection includes such works as L'Imagination, Poesies Fugitives, La Pitie, L'Homme Des Champs, Les Trois Regnes De La Nature, and a translation of The Georgics by Virgil. Leather hardcover, golden embossing on the binding. The books are supplemented with engravings. Collectible Antique Antiquarian French Books.
