The second: Retrospectus and Prospectus, The Nonesuch Dickens; published by The Nonesuch Press, Bloomsbury, 1937. The third: The Dickens Advertiser A Collection of The Advertisements in The Original Parts of Novels by Charles Dickens, edited by Bernard Darwin; published by Elkin Mathews and Marrot, London, 1930; signed by Bernard Darwin on the title spread. The fourth: A Christmas Carol by Charles Dickens; published by Grosset and Dunlap, New York. Charles Dickens was a British novelist, journalist, editor, illustrator and social commentator who wrote such beloved classic novels as Oliver Twist, A Christmas Carol, Nicholas Nickleby, David Copperfield, A Tale of Two Cities and Great Expectations.
