A vintage 1979 oil on canvas painting depicting a scene in a modern orthodox synagogue during the celebrations of Simhat Torah or Shmini Atzeret. A woman received the Torah scrolls from a rabbi for displaying it in the female section. Signed Jerry Friedman in the lower left and on the backside. Wooden frame.
