An antique German KPM round hand-painted porcelain plaque depicting a portrait of a woman in a field after the original oil painting on canvas by Wilhelm Kray, German, 1828 to 1889. Framed. Circa: late 19th century. The Konigliche Porzellan Manufaktur Berlin, or KPM, was one of the most influential porcelain factories in 18th century Germany, and it still operates today. KPM is revered for its porcelain plaques depicting historical scenes or copies of famous paintings. Wilhelm Kray was a prominent figure in the Romanticism movement.
