ANTIQUE E. PINEDO SIGNED BRONZE ARAB, CIRCA 1885
An antique French late 19th century Orientalist bronze by Emile Pinedo, French, 1840 to 1916, titled: Arabe en Marche or Walking Arab. The sculpture depicts an Arab man wearing a turban and a robe with a knife at his waist, and a walking stick across his shoulders. Covered with a nice browm patina. Signed to the base: Pinedo; with the foundry mark: BRONZE GARANTI AU TITRE. PARIS. Mounted on a rectangular plinth with a metal plaque inscribed in French: Arabe en Marche exp. des Beaux-Arts, Paris. Antique European Metalware, Classic Bronze Sculpture For Collectors.
