Robert Cox, American, 1934 to 2001, oil painting on canvas depicting a still life with flowers. Signed lower right. Framed. Robert Cox is known for Still life flower painting, graphic design. Cox studied at the Katharine Gibbs School of Art from 1953 until 1956 and then joined Mayhew Peakes Inc. as a graphic designer.He found much inspiration for his floral paintings in California and became one of the most prolific painters of the 1970s and 1980s. He employed the palette knife to create his stylized flowers. One of a kind artwork.
