MID CENTURY WOODBLOCK WITH BIRDS BY KAWANO KAORU
Color woodblock print representing a figure with two white birds. Titled Small Birds. Circa 1950. Hireoglyphical hallmark in the lower left. Kawano Kaoru, 1916 to 1965, was a Japanese printmaker who was a part of Sosaku-hanga art movement that opposed the traditional Japanese woodblock styles. Showa period, 1926 to 1989.
