A vintage early 1960s US Navy Northrop Grumman E-2A Hawkeye desk display model 1 to 48 scale. Raised on a green glass base bearing original paper labels. The Northrop Grumman E-2A Hawkeye, originally designated W2F-1 during development, is a carrier-based early-warning radar plane that has been in use since its introduction in 1962. Its numerous versions have been utilized by the U.S. Navy and Coast Guard, as well as by Egypt, France, Japan, Mexico, Singapore and Taiwan. The Grumman Aircraft Engineering Corporation, later Grumman Aerospace Corporation, was a leading 20th century American producer of military and civilian aircraft.
