RUSSIAN WINTER LANDSCAPE PAINTING BY ISAAC LEVITAN
Oil painting by Isaac Levitan. A sketch of a winter forest landscape. Signed by the artist in the bottom middle. Marked From the Collection of Vsevolod Dubuzhinsky, Campbell Hall, NY 10916 on the backside. Isaac Levitan, 1860 to 1900, was a classical Russian landscape painter of Jewish descent. Vsevolod Dubuzhinsky, 1905 to 1998, was a Russian emigre artist and the son of Mstislav Dobuzhinsky, a prominent Russian cityscape artist. Ornate golden frame with a name plaque.
