Watercolor and pencil on paper painting by Gerhard Sipmann, 1780 to 1866, a German painter and art teacher. The artwork is a sketch that represents a monk leading a horse with a young woman sitting behind him. Presumably a literary illustration. Dated early 19th-century. There are handwritten notes on the backside of the drawing. Beige mat. European Classic Graphic Art For Collectors.
