MID CENTURY ITALIAN PIERO FORNASETTI FISH PLATE
A Mid century Italian Milano Piero Fornasetti print decorated porcelain plate. The plate is lithographically printed with variant schools of swimming fish, Passata di Pesci or Passage of Fish, circa 1955. Marked on the reverse: Peski, Fornasetti, Milano, Made in Italy, 1955, design number 3. Piero Fornasetti 1913 to 1988 was an Italian artist and designer, one of the wittiest and most imaginative talents of the 20th century. He crafted an inimitable decorative style from a personal vocabulary of images that included birds, butterflies, hot-air balloons, architecture and — most frequently, and in some 500 variations — an enigmatic womans face based on that of Cavalieri. Vintage Cabinet Plates For Home Decor, Mid Century Italian Decorative Collectibles, Room Accents And Accessories.
