ITALIAN FISH PORCELAIN PLATE BY PIERO FORNASETTI
A Mid century Italian Milano Piero Fornasetti print decorated porcelain plate. The plate is lithographically printed with variant schools of swimming fish, Passage of Fish, 1955. The plate is marked with a black artist stamp, a green stamp, Arzberg , the company mark and design number, on the backside. Provenance: Doyle New York, New York, NY, United States, June 08, 2022, 226. Piero Fornasetti, 1913 to 1988, was an Italian artist and designer. The work of Piero Fornasetti is a mixture of illusionism and architectural perspectives. His favorite themes are the sun, playing cards, fish, butterflies, books, architecture, and the face of a girl named Lina Cavalieri.
