JAPANESE CLOISONNE ON PORCELAIN BOWL CIRCA 1900
A fine and rare antique Japanese porcelain bowl from the Meiji period, 1868 to 1912. The surface is covered with a polychrome cloisonne enamel decor depicting a variety of interlocking floral and geometric designs. The interior is skillfully hand-painted with a Buddhist scene, sides are finely painted with flowers and butterflies. Marked on the base with a blue ink four-character mark.
