ANTIQUE THALLMAIER GERMAN PORCELAIN CABINET PLATE
An antique 19th-century German porcelain cabinet plate. Golden and pink rim with Neoclassical ornaments encomasses a hand-painted royal male portrait. Titled Wilhelm III, King of Orange, 1688-1702 on the backside. Hallmark Franz Xavier Thallmaier Munchen is on the backside. Franz Xaver Thallmaier established in Munich in 1890 was a German porcelain painting studio which inherited the style of KPM and Royal Vienna. William III, was the sovereign Prince of Orange and Dutch Republic, as well as King of England, Ireland, and Scotland from 1689 until his death in 1702.
