NIkolai Kharitonov, Russian, 1880 to 1944, oil on canvas painting depicting a reclining male figure in the forest. Signed lower right. Framed. NIkolai Vasilievich Kharitonov was a prominent Russian painter of the Academic School, a portraitist and a master of the landscape genre, a pupil of Ilya Repin, who used to combine Realism and Impressionistic tendencies in his works.
