JAPANESE MEIJI ERA CLOISONNE ENAMEL GOLDSTONE VASES
A pair of symmetrical antique Japanese, late Meiji era, amphora shaped enamel over brass vases. The exterior of the vases are enameled with polychrome images of blossoming flowers and butterflies, floral, foliage, geometrical, and swirl patterns, made in the Cloisonne technique. The base and the neck of the wares are adorned with swirl and scaly patterns made in the same technique. The wares are inlaid with Goldstone. Marked with an impressed seal, on the bottom.
