ANCIENT CHINESE LONGQUAN CELADON GLAZED JAR ZHADOU
An ancient Chinese Longquan celadon glazed jar, also known as zhadou showing a highly prized and sought-after piece of ancient Chinese ceramics. The zhadou form is characterized by a bulbous body with a flared mouth. It was commonly used as a water container or a wine vessel in ancient Chinese rituals and ceremonies. Longquan celadon is a type of green-glazed stoneware that was produced in the Longquan kilns of Zhejiang province during the Southern Song and Yuan dynasties from 1127 to 1368.
