Jacques Emile Blanche, French, 1861 to 1942, oil painting on canvas, The Hostel, Hindhead. Signed with initials, lower right. Framed. Provenance: Michael Parkin Gallery. Purchased by C. Mallaby. Original paper labels of The Parkin Gallery, on the backside. Jacques Emile Blanche was a French artist, largely self taught, who became a successful portrait painter, working in London and Paris. He is known for Portrait, still life, landscape and beach scene painting, illustration. One of a kind artwork.
