ANTIQUE ORMOLU FRAME JEWELED WITH PRECIOUS STONES
A heavy antique Baroque gilt bronze frame decorated with repousse mythical griffins and scrolled foliage motifs, set with 16 large colorful jewels, most likely labradorite, amethyst and carnelian. Engraved on the bottom: DIX. Presumably French, circa the early 20th century. Collectible Decor For Interior Design, Picture Frames And Desktop Accessories.
