Chiyoda no On omote Mokuroku. A scene around Chiyoda Palace, where the Tokugawa Shogunate resides. Shogun is watching the military practice from a viewing platform on a small mound at Koganehara. Mt. Fuji is seen on the background. Signed in the plate, upper right. Red seals, lower left and right. Toyohara Chikanobu, better known to his contemporaries as Yoshu Chikanobu, was a Japanese painter and printmaker who was widely regarded as a prolific woodblock artist during the Meiji epoch.
