GIORGIO DE CHIRICO GILT BRONZE FIGURE LA MUSA 1974
A limited edition gilt bronze sculpture titled La Musa by Giorgio de Chirico, 1974. The Muse is made in the form of an upright figure in the tunic of ancient Rome with a conventionally designated face with round eyes on an oval head. At the muses feet lies a fragment of a column, reminiscent of the folds of her robe. This designation of the female figure is very characteristic of Chiricos work. Marked on the rectangular base G de Chirico, Fonderia Cavallari Roma, 5 of 8.
