JUDAICA SARAH LAUGHING PRINT BY ABEL PANN
Abel Pann, 1883 to 1963, Judaica color lithograph print depicting Sarah laughing to herself about the prospect of having a child at her age. Signed by the artist lower right in the plate. Inscribed in pencil below from Genesis XVIII, 12. The quote reads Therefore Sarah laughed. Matted and framed. Abel Pann was a Russian-born Jewish painter and printmaker who settled in the Talpiot neighborhood of Jerusalem in the early 20th century and taught at the Bezalel Academy of Art under Boris Schatz.
