ANTIQUE IRANIAN PAHLEVI SET OF SILVER PLATED CUPS
An antique Iranian early Pahlevi set of silver plated cups. A total of six cups. The cups have a laconic waist decor made of a repeating floral pattern. Circa before the 1930s. The Pahlavi dynasty was the last Iranian royal dynasty, ruling for almost 54 years between 1925 and 1979. The dynasty ruled Iran for 28 years as a form of constitutional monarchy from 1925 to 1953, and after overthrowing the democratically elected prime minister, another 26 years as a more autocratic monarchy until the dynasty itself was overthrown in 1979.
