LTD SPANISH CATALAN COLOR LITHOGRAPH AFTER JOAN MIRO
A limited edition color lithograph on Arches paper, Ubu aux Baleares, Ubu of The Balearic Islands, after Joan Miro, Spanish, Catalan, 1893 to 1983. Circa: 1971. Signed in pencil, lower right. Numbered 4 of 10 in pencil, lower left. Framed. Stamped, Rubens Club, on the backside. Joan Miro, a Catalan painter, sculptor, and ceramicist. Earning international acclaim, his work has been interpreted as Surrealism but with a personal style, sometimes also veering into Fauvism and Expressionism. He was notable for his interest in the unconscious or the subconscious mind, reflected in his re creation of the childlike. His difficult to classify works also had a manifestation of Catalan pride.
