CUBAN RED CHALK PAINTING BY VICTOR MANUEL WITH COA
Sanguine on paper painting by Victor Manuel Garcia Valdes, 1897 to 1969, a Cuban Avantgarde artist who combined European concepts of Modern art with native Primitivism to create a distinctly Cuban aesthetic. The artwork represents a portrait of a young woman. Titled Gypsy. Undated. Signed by the artist in the lower right. Provenance: private collection, La Havana. The painting comes with a Luis Lastra certificate of authenticity. Brown mat. Collectible Graphic Art, Latin American Artists.
