Attributed to Elaine Fried de Kooning, American 1918 to 1989, a mixed media painting on paper depicting a sketch portrait of a woman. Signed lower. Elaine Marie Catherine de Kooning was an Abstract Expressionist and Figurative Expressionist painter in the post World War II era. She wrote extensively on the art of the period and was an editorial associate for Art News magazine. Wife of Willem de Kooning.
