Attributed to Maqbool Fida Husain, 1915 to 2011, an Indian Modernist artist known for his explorations of Indian culture and the history of the British Raj. The artwork depicts Krishna with dancing gopis and cows. Signed in the lower right. Undated. The item comes with a certificate of authenticity. Krishna is a major deity in Hinduism, the eighth avatar of Vishnu. He is usually depicted with blue skin, in a crown and feather wreath. Gopi are the consorts and devotees of Krishna.
