An American oil painting on canvas signed N. Blaine, 1969. The expressionist painting depicts a summer forest landscape in vibrant colors. Signed and dated lower left. Framed. Nell Blair Walden Blaine, 1922 to 1996, was an American landscape painter, expressionist, and watercolorist. From Richmond, Virginia. Nell Blair Walden Blaines work is included in the permanent collections of the Metropolitan Museum of Art, the Whitney Museum of American Art, the Brooklyn Museum, the National Academy of Design, the Hirshhorn Museum and Sculpture Garden, the National Museum of Women in the Arts, the Rose Art Museum, the Virginia Museum of Fine Arts, and the Museum of Modern Art.
