ATTR TO PIERRE FRANC LAMY FRENCH SCENE OIL PAINTING - Attributed to Pierre Desire Eugene Franc Lamy, 1855 to 1919, an oil painting on canvas depicting a Romantic forest scene with a female horse rider, dressed in historical costume. Signed and dated Lamy, 1876, and due to the style and composition has been attributed as an early work of the French painter of landscapes, figures, and nudes. Pierre Franc Lamy exhibited regularly at the Paris Salon with Pils and Gerome since 1880. His works are located in the museums of Clermont, Marseille, Nice, and Rouen.
