YURI DYSHLENKO RUSSIAN UNOFFICIAL ARTIST SILKSCREEN
Yuri Ivanovich Dyshlenko, Russian, 1936 to 1995, a color silkscreen on paper, Midsummer Zis. Circa: 1991. Framed. Yuri Ivanovich Dyshlenko was a Russian artist, one of the key figures of Leningrad unofficial painting. He worked as a designer for performances and as an illustrator. The scenery for the performance The Lark based on the play by Jean Anouilh at the Akimov Comedy Theatre, executed in an almost abstract manner, caused a stir bordering on scandal. He was a member of the Leningrad City Committee of Book, Graphic and Poster Artists. Since the 1970s, he has been engaged in painting, developing images on the verge of abstraction and figurativeness. Russian Graphic Art Prints and Collectibles.
