1950S GULAG CRIMINAL SENTENCED TO DEATH DOSSIER
A Soviet KGB criminal file of prisoner Nikoali Semyonovich Yakovlev. Dated 1951-1952. 85 pages, each with MGB stamps and handwritings. Pages 3 and 73 feature photographs of the inmate. Yakovlev was imprisoned for beating a book keeper with the kettle dut to hooligan motives and other debaucheries, sentenced for 4 years of prison. While serving the sentence, it came out that Nikolai Yakovlev was also serving as Nazi policeman during WWII. He joined the 410th security-punitive battalion Field and personally participated in numerous operations against partisans and civilians. Therefore he was tried by military tribunal and sentenced to death. The sentence was carried out on April 15th, 1952. Soviet Historical Collectibles, Papers And Documents.
