ANTIQUE ISLAMIC MINIATURE PAINTING ON PAPER 18TH C - An antique Islamic miniature painting on paper with a traditional plot from secular life. Circa mid to late 18th century. Painted in opaque watercolor with gold accents. The miniature depicts a conversation between people of four different professions and has Persian Farsi text at the top and bottom. Matted and framed. Islamic miniatures are small paintings on paper, usually book or manuscript illustrations but also sometimes separate artworks.
