After the 1980 silk scarf design for Van Cleef and Arpels by Rene Gruau, 1909 to 2004, an Italian fashion illustrator, one of the best known and favorite artists of the haute couture world during the 1940s and 50s. The artwork depicts a young woman in black against a golden background, with bas-relief framing which features the inscription Van Cleef and Arpels. Signed in the lower right. Undated.
