LITHOGRAPH POSTER DROITS DE LHOMME BY JOAN MIRO 1974
Joan Miro I Ferra, Spanish, 1893 to 1983, a lithograph poster titled Droits de lHomme, Human Rights, 1974. Commissioned and published by UNESCO in Paris to commemorate the Universal Declaration of Human Rights, the poster was printed by Arte Adrien Maeght, Paris. Joan Miro was a Catalan painter, sculptor and ceramist. A museum dedicated to his work, the Fundacio Joan Miro, was established in his native city of Barcelona in 1975. Provenance: a well-preserved time capsule within the prestigious Decoration and Design Building in New York City, a landmark trade hub celebrated among top interior designers.
