A lithographic Helisse exhibition poster print, Calder, 1971, Pace Gallery, Columbus, Ohio. Signed in the print, lower right. Provenance: a well preserved time capsule from the prestigious Decoration and Design Building D and D Building in New York City, a renowned trade hub for interior designers. Alexander Sandy Calder, 1898 to 1976, was an American sculptor known both for his innovative mobiles kinetic sculptures powered by motors or air currents that embrace chance in their aesthetic, his static stabiles, and his monumental public sculptures.
