From the Cabinet of the Chevalier de la Rocque. The etching depicts a baker blowing a horn, head turned to the left, leaning on the lower half of a door; a small boy looking up to left. Advertised in Mercure, Paris March 1743. Adriaen van Ostade was a Dutch painter and engraver, a master of etching during the Golden Age of Dutch Painting.
