SIGNED ROGER DE LA FRESNAYE FRENCH WATERCOLOR PAINTING - A French watercolor on paper still life painting signed Roger de La Fresnaye, 1885 to 1925. The painting depicts a still life with fir branches in a tall white vase and fruits on a table against a background of dark green drapes. Signed lower left, R. De La Fresnaye. Matted and framed. Roger de La Fresnaye was a French Cubist painter. From 1912 to 1914, La Fresnaye was a member of the Section d Or group of artists, and his work demonstrates an individual response to cubism. He was influenced by Georges Braque and Pablo Picasso, and his prismatic colors reflect the influence of Robert Delaunay.
