ANTIQUE ENGRAVINGS WILLIAM WILLIAMS JOHANNES KIP OXFORD - Two antique engravings, including Collegium St. Trinitatis Trinity College, Oxford by William Williams, fl. 1724 to 1733, inscribed with the colleges Latin name and featuring the facade of the chapel, a detailed drawing of the entrance portico, and a perspective view of the interior from clerestory height. Accompanying this is a large copperplate engraving showing the front elevation, plan, and interior view of a proposed school building, published and sold by Joseph Smith in London, 1690, and engraved by the esteemed Johannes Kip, 1652 to 1722. Kip, a prominent Dutch engraver who settled in London, was celebrated for his architectural and topographical engravings, particularly those in Britannia Illustrata.
