ANTIQUE ENGRAVINGS BY WILLIAM WILLIAMS OXFORD COLLEGES - A pair of antique engravings by William Williams, fl. 1724 to 1733, featuring historic Oxford colleges. The first, Collegium Baliolense, Balliol College, Oxford, presents a plan of the college with an accompanying key, a Latin-script history below, and a scale illustrated with engraved instruments above. An elegant inscribed cartouche appears on the right side. The second, Collegium Jesu, Jesus College, Oxford, depicts the college façade with a chapel window on the right, above a detailed ground plan with key and scale. A coat of arms featuring three stags sits to the left, balanced by an escutcheon dedicated to Guilielmo Jones on the right. Dating to the 18th century. Antique European Prints And Art Collectibles.
