VYACHESLAV KONDRATIEV (RUSSIAN, 1886-1979) PAIR DRAWINGS
A lot of two Russian mixed media, ink and watercolor on paper paintings by Vyacheslav Kondratiev. Both artworks belong to the same series, titled Bargaining on the Yauza, and depict multi-figure genre scenes on a historical subject. Signed with the initials V. K. in the lower right. Signed and titled in Russian on the back side. Ca. 1940s. Matted and framed. Vyacheslav Kondratyev, 1886 to 1979, was a Russian artist and industrial designer. Among his major work is decoration of several VDNKh pavilions, as well as the interiors of the Glavtabak state store chain. Russian Soviet Fine Art, Home Decor, and Collectibles.
