ATTR HENRI MATISSE FRENCH FEMALE PORTRAIT ETCHING - Attributed to Henri Matisse, French, 1869 to 1954, etching on paper. After the 1944 ink drawing titled Woman with Loose Hair, now in the collection of the Pushkin Museum of Fine Arts, Moscow. The model for this drawing was Anneliese Nelk, a young Dutch artist who lived in Vence at the time and often posed for Matisse. The print is signed in pencil in the lower right. Numbered 16 out of 50 in the lower left. Matted and framed. Henri Matisse was a French visual artist, known for both his use of colour and his fluid and original draughtsmanship.
