VINTAGE JUDAICA BRASS HANUKKAH MENORAH BY MICHAL GOLAN - A vintage Judaica brass Hanukkah menorah from the 20th century. The lamp has an ornate, decorative design. It is primarily gold in color and is heavily embellished with colorful enamel and stones of various shapes and sizes. There are nine candle holders positioned in a row at the top. A central oval stone cabochone features a Star of David invthe center. The surface of the lamp is intricately decorated with a combination of floral and geometric patterns. The piece is marked on the bottom Michal Golan. Michal Golan, an Israeli artist who came to the US to study art, started designing jewelry to support herself while getting her Masters at NYU. Demand quickly grew, and in 1982 she launched Michal Golan Jewelry. With her husband Michael joining, they moved to a NYC studio. Despite growing into a larger team, Michal has stayed committed to crafting high-quality jewelry by hand in her studio. Each piece reflects the intricacy and artistic vision of an artist.
