Hand painted in egg tempera, gesso, gold leaf and levkas on a wood board with raised kovcheg borders. A mirror symmetrical composition with the exalted Christ on a vertical central axis. He represents the open gospel and raised his right hand in a blessed gesture. His Blessed Mother and John the Baptist are on his side. The Archangels Michael and Gabriel, as well as the Apostles Andrew, Peter and Paul, as well as St. Nicholas of the World, join the golden throne. Other saints worship at the feet of Christ.
