The artwork is a photogravure, which is a photomechanical process that produces high-quality prints with a continuous tone. The woman in the image has long hair and is looking directly at the viewer, creating an intimate and alluring atmosphere. The original, unretouched photogravure used by Glen Boyer on the cover of I Married Wyatt Earp. He insisted it was a picture of Josephine from 1880 but the picture was actually copyrighted in 1914.
