Marked HC V-X, Hors de Commerce in the lower left. Matted and framed. Eduardo Chillida studied architecture at the University of Madrid but turned to fine art and moved to Paris in 1948. Upon returning to Spain in the 1950s, his focus turned toward light, landscape, and spatial concerns. Working primarily in iron, wood, and steel, Chillidas interlocking sculptures reflected his interest in space and materiality. He also worked in graphics, newspaper collages, and illustrated books by Andre Freneau and Emile Cioran. Collectible Graphic Art Prints, Limited Edition.
