AFTER SH RAZA INDIAN CITYSCAPE OIL PAINTING - In the style of Sayed Haider Raza, or S.H. Raza, Indian, 1922 to 2016, oil on canvas painting. The artwork depicts a town view. Signed and dated 1968 in the lower left and on the backside. Unframed. Sayed Haider Raza was an Indian painter who lived and worked in France for most of his career. In 1947, he co-founded the revolutionary Bombay Progressive Artists Group along with K.H. Ara and F.N. Souza. Raza sought to turn away from the influences of European Realism, which dominated much of the academic art of India, and embrace Antar gyan, a uniquely Indian vision.
